James is the Vendetta’s "man of Jazzzzzz" – nice. Guitar being only James’ second instrument, his first love is the five-string banjo. Together with Wally "The Waistcoat" Squires (bass) and Kenny "The Cardi" Craddock (decks,) he is the innovator and leading exponent of the British Trad-Funk movement, blending good ol’ Dixie rhythms with Funkmaster groove.

Leader of the Sunday Lunchtime jam session at The Artful Dodger in Henley-On-Thames, James is soon to embark, with his band, Five-String Jammin,’ on a world-wide British Council tour to bring the Traditional Jazz sound to audiences from South Africa to French Polynesia..

People who won’t give Trad a chance, Modern Art, Roller Skates, Chinchillas, Being forced to eat second helpings.
