 Update....
Ahoy there, Lounge-Lubbers!
EXCITING NEW WEBSITE ALERT!

Miss Volare and Silva Screen Records are proud to announce the launch of a great new website: www.noiresque.co.uk which will be dedicated to all the different aspects of the NOIRESQUE PROJECT.

Of course, this site will continue to give you direct news about the band, so keep visiting, but for the latest news about our next album check the new page in fabulous flash animation.
Currently Miss V is working with director BARB JUNGR on the new show which will be launched at the same time as the album but normal Vendetta service continues as usual of course...

MORE ABOUT "NOIRESQUE"
The album is a collection of songs from the Films Noirs of the 1940s and 50s (think "Kiss Me Deadly," "Dark City," "Gilda" and "The Long Goodbye") and explores "the lonely fate of the Femme Fatale." Volare is very excited as this means she gets to sing lots of sexy "Maneater" numbers such as "Put the Blame On Mame" and "Temptation" as well as smooch far too many torch songs for public decency....

Fellow Noir "Sequinned Anoraks" may be interested to know that two of the songs have never been recorded before - and can only be heard in fragments on the original movies themselves. Even the specially-designed accompanying posters promise to be instantly collectable...

The suitably filthy musical arrangements are by Noir Prince of Darkness, Al Nicholls and the classic Vendetta line up are all playing on the CD.

We we look forward to a release early next year. The US release will follow shortly after and all going well there will be an accompanying live tour, so watch this space, and check this website for updates! If you are an agent and have possible dates which may fit in with the tour - or around it if they're corporate events - we'd be grateful if you could let us know as soon as possible so we can attempt to make sense of the diary....

For those of you who like to read about GROOVING NEW MUSIC, check out MISS VOLARE'S column at the Maverick Club Website (www.maverickclub.com - follow "opinion" then "Miss Volare Says") for the best in new jazz, latin, swing and latin.

In the meanwhile, it is Vendetta Normal Service, so watch out for us!
We find our music from many sources - and inspirations. If you think YOU could write for us, we want to know! Just send MISS VOLARE a mail - if you want to know the sort of material we play - check out our MEDIA PAGE!
